Cell Phone Function Tips

Another one of our most common questions here at cellphonecarriers. is "How can I pass a cell phone credit check"? Either the customer has bad credit, concerned about their credit, or just don't know what to look for in a credit check. Use our tips below to help you pass your cellular credit check and get the cell phone you always wanted. Keep in mind that to attract customers, most if not all cell phone companies give the phone away for free. They are not likely to take a risk with a customer they feel will not pay their bill, thus losing the service cost and the price for the phone. Cell phone credit checks are designed to be 'strict' based on the free phone reason alone. Owning too many active credit cards will hurt you If you own too many active credit cards, chances are you may be rejected. When a cell phone companies sees you have too many open lines of credit, they may be hesitant to approve your cellular application. The reason: with open credit at your disposal, you may borrow more money then you could pay back and not pay the cellular company in the future. The best advice we offer is to close all credit cards you no longer use, and lower credit limits on active cards if you know the credit limits on the cards are too high. Pay off all overdue debt and credit card balances We know; this is more easier said then done. The truth is the less money you owe anybody else, the more likely you can pay off your cellular phone bill. If a cell phone carrier sees that you have large overdue credit balances compared to your income, it's likely your cellular application will get rejected. Cell phone companies LOVE stability The longer you have worked at your current job, the longer you have lived in your current residence and the longer you have paid off prior utility bills and debts, the higher chance you will have in getting your cellular application accepted. A good rule is to have worked or lived at the same place for at least six months before applying for a cell phone. A cellular company will want to verify your current residence, income and job before approving you of any cellular offer. Know your credit report and score Cell phone companies will pull your credit report to look at your past history. Before applying, it's a good idea to know what your credit report says, and attempt to remove any items that may not belong. It could only help by contacting the company that is currently showing up on your report and resolving old billing issues or past debt. Of course, the better your history, the better your chances. Make sure you know your credit score before the cellular companies do. Some debt services offer free credit reports with a trial subscription; take advantage of these deals to get your report but cancel the trial subscription before you get charged. Avoid unnecessary inquires into your credit report Each time a prospective creditor looks at your credit report, an inquiry notation is added to your file, and it could stay on your report for up to two years. The good news is any inquiries made by you will not show up on your file It is best to avoid over-applying for credit and running up excessive inquiries. The simple reason is that lenders of cell phone companies may think you’re trying to get credit due to financial difficulty, or taking on more debt than you can repay. Cell phone companies do of course realize that some inquiries are a result of shopping around for the best cell phone offer possible, so they will often overlook a block of inquiries within a very recent period. By following these guidelines, it can only improve your chances of getting accepted for a cellular phone. It's also good to know that certain carriers seem to have tougher credit checks at different times of the year. Also, each cellular company seems to have a different way to evaluate a cellular application. For example, we have found the credit check for T-Mobile to be a little easier than AT&T. Good luck on applying for your cell phone - we feel that anyone who applies for a cell phone will have a better chance by following our guidelines.
